Caretaker - Part-Time

Our previous permanent Caretaker had to retire due to ill health and we are therefore seeking to appoint a permanent replacement for him, starting as soon as possible. The post involves a range of duties covering security, heating, lighting, porterage, minor repairs and maintenance. Working hours will be 7:00am to 12:00 daily (25 hours per week).
Our caretaker is responsible for, opening the school and conducting a daily site walk. Health and Safety, this includes liasing with our School Business manager and the H&S Officer of the Tenax Schools Trust; as well as completing relevant checks. General maintenance and Liaison with external contractors, is also part of the role.
The following skills and knowledge would be desirable: COSHH, fire safety, asbestos management, water management - Legionella, health & safety at work, manual handling, working at heights, first aid. Training is provided if required.
